Ruby Rose from RWBY
1st pencil, 2nd colored over pencil with overlays in photoshop, 3rd full digitally in photoshop
i really wanted to try using the same style that this pic --->images.wikia.com/rwby/images/4… has, so first i did it in pencil because i've been doing a lot of traditional stuff lately and then brought it into photoshop and kinda did it half and half, the lines were clear and dark enough for me to do just the overlays with colors, and then finally fully digital witch is my favorite of the three
i love this coloring style, like wow it looks nice -w-
but its important to know how to do both traditional and digital

I think the digital is better because everything just looks less "noisy" (you know, with the rough paper/pencil texture everywhere), and more defined; gives a more professional feel than the traditional/hybrid ones to me. I like to use the hybrid style, but only because i can't make lines digitally.
